Wills and Probate

Wills

This is a legal document that divides your estate among your beneficiaries. While there are some software systems that might be able to include boilerplate language for a will, mistakes at this stage will not be discovered until after your death.  To ensure that your wishes and loved ones are taken care of, we recommend calling our attorneys to draft a will that is legally enforceable upon your death.

Probate

Probate is the legal process where a court determines how your property will be divided.  This is time consuming and expensive.  Many times, beneficiaries will not get any money to help pay the bills until months or even years after your death.

Skip the Probate System

While wills do have to go through a probate system to transfer ownership from the person who wrote the will to their beneficiary, many states provide a streamline process for smaller estates.
